The Guided by Voices discography includes dozens of releases, both official and unofficial. Robert Pollard, the main creative force behind the band, is an extremely prolific songwriter, having written or co-written more than 1,000 songs.[2] In addition to the official GBV releases, there have been numerous box-sets of unreleased material, notably Suitcase: Failed Experiments and Trashed Aircraft (2000) and Suitcase 2: American Superdream Wow (2005).
